About the Event
This winter, AREA presents NUTCRACKER DECODED, an original concert experience that honors tradition while creating space for something entirely new.
Through AREA’s unique artistic lens, audiences will experience a dynamic journey across ballet and pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop, cultural movement, inspirational repertory, and theatrical performance—all brought together on one stage.
Inspired by AREA’s 2026–27 season theme, DECODED, the concert explores what happens when artists look beyond what has always been done, uncover new possibilities, and use movement to connect generations, cultures, styles, and stories. The evening also celebrates AREA’s own artistic legacy, weaving signature repertory together with newly created works and fresh collaborations. From disciplined training and technical excellence to bold expression and innovation, NUTCRACKER DECODED reflects the range of artists AREA is developing—and the limitless possibilities of what dance can become.
This is more than a winter performance. It is an invitation to experience tradition differently.
