About the Event
AREA proudly kicks off its 16th Anniversary Season with JOY: Brand New Day, an uplifting Winter Production inspired by the soulful spirit of The Wiz. This year’s winter performance threads together powerful storytelling, classical brilliance, and soul-stirring gospel influences — all brought to life through ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, acro, and praise dance.
From our Happy Kiddies, Stars to Trainees, each performance celebrates the resilience, artistry, and excellence that define AREA. JOY: Brand New Day is more than a production — it’s a journey through Awakening, Transformation, and Enlightenment, reminding us all that every sunrise brings the promise of a Brand New Day.
Expect vibrant choreography, heartfelt performances, and a community celebration that reflects AREA’s legacy of impact and innovation in the performing arts.
